Item Description

A sharp, 3.4 x 2.8 cm, highly lustrous, reddish brown to chocolate-brown, andradite garnet with striking flashes of reddish-brown gemminess is aesthetically set in masssive quartz matrix on this showy and excellent old-timer. The crystal is pristine and this is a very fine representation of this classic California material. The measurements include the baked clay base. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection, acquired in 1982. From the Charles and Elsi Dunn Collection of Livermore and collected in the late 1950 or early 60s, according to the label.
