Andradite Garnet

Item Description

These Andradites are some of the most easily recognizable of any Garnet specimens around. Their distinctive brownish-green or olive green color and semi metallic luster are a dead giveaway. This specimen is a fine little display piece of this famous material from Stanley Butte. It features many sharp, highly lustrous dodecahedra of Andradite with virtually no damage. The largest crystal measures about 4 mm, and there is a rich coverage of crystals on both sides of the piece. A nice specimen of these well known Garnets from Arizona.
