Item Description

A rich and attractive two-sided andradite specimen from this island locale, famous for quartz "prases", ilvaite and hedenbergite specimens. The rolling front is covered with sharp, lustrous, moderately translucent, mottled root beer-brown dodecahedrons, to 1.0 cm. The richly covered back hosts much smaller crystals, that are translucent, highly lustrous and are mostly reddish-brown. This is a very fine and rich example of this uncommon varietal from this noted locale. Ex Andre Martin Collection of Montreal, Canada.
