Andradite and Quartz on Hedenbergite (classic locale)

Lustrous, sharp, rust-brown, dodecahedral, andradite crystals to 1.7 cm and glassy quartz needles to 2.0 cm jauntily rest atop matrix of columnar, green hedenbergite on this showy and excellent specimen from Seriphos Island, Greece. The larger crystals have gemmy edges and the smaller crystals are gemmy, which is very nifty. Classic combination material from this noted locale.
