Andradite and Hematite on Hedenbergite (classic locale)

Item Description

Lustrous, sharp, rust-brown, dodecahedral, andradite crystals to 1.7 cm are strikingly complimented by numerous classic, bladed, hematite rosettes atop matrix of columnar hedenbergite on this showy and excellent large combination specimen from Seriphos Island, Greece. The larger andradite crystals have gemmy edges, which is very nifty. Hematite and andradite combinations of this size and quality are RARE from this noted locale, as hematite rosettes are not that common. The base has been sawed enhance the display quality.
