Contrary Creek is a tributary of the North Anna River located in Louisa County, Virginia and is a well known Gold prospecting locale. This piece comes with a Keith Williams label, a Virginia dealer, so I know it's legit. It features a sharp, lustrous, well formed, dodechedral reddish colored crystals of Andradite Garnet measuring 2.0 cm on schist matrix. A cool specimen from an obscure locality, a great piece for any Garnet collector or a U.S. or east coast mineral collector.
