Item Description

Andalusite specimens are VERY RARE from this old Pennsylvania mining area. A sharp, lustrous prism with a contacted termination is jauntily set upright in a matrix of andalusite crystals, quartz and biotite schist. Undoubtably old-time material, but no proof. Not great to look at, but rare, highly representative material for the locale. Ex Paterson Museum Collection. The numbers match.
