Item Description
A wonderful old-time display specimen of these iconic Andalusites from the Lüsenser Tal in the Sellrain Valley of the Tyrol of Austria featuring blocky, prismatic crystals measuring up to 3.7 cm, with a pseudo-metallic, soft golden brown hue, sitting on matrix. It should be noted that these are likely pseudomorphs of Pinite after Andalusite. The main crystal is in very good condition, and the overall piece is rather showy for the material. These are antiques, rarely seen on the market, especially in pieces of this quality and size.
This piece comes from the collection of Dick Hauck
