Anatase with Rutile on Quartz (ex Matioli)

Item Description

An attractive association specimen featuring two Titanium Oxides together on the same piece. Bronze colored tetragonal prisms of Anatase are associated with prismatic golden Rutile sitting on Quartz matrix. The Quartz crystals have minor inclusions of Clinochlore to create and interesting overall appearance. I have seen many pieces from Cuiaba over the years, but matrix pieces like this are few and far between. Ex Paolo Matioli Collection.
