Anatase with Quartz (ex Obodda)

A few years ago, there was a find of superb "Alpine-type" quality Brookite and Anatase specimens from the Kharan District of Pakistan. The Anatase specimens found at this locality are some of the finest quality pieces to be found in the modern era of minerals. This particular specimen features a doubly-terminated, very sharp, highly lustrous, well formed tetragonal crystal of Anatase with a nice blue color that can be seen just under the surface of the crystal when viewed in strong lighting. The Anatase crystal measures 8 mm and is associated with gemmy, prismatic colorless Quartz. The Anatase is hidden on the bottom of the piece, so it depends on which way you view it whether it's an Anatase specimen or a Quartz specimen. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock, priced at $350.
