Anatase with Quartz and Brookite (Ed David Coll.)

Four, lustrous and striated, anatase crystals to 1.1 are elegantly set on either side of the very narrow crest on this very showy, two-sided specimen from the Ed David Collection. The feldspar matrix is generously covered with two generations of quartz crystals, up to 3.7 cm long. The side with the least quartz coverage holds a really cute, 1.0 cm, pair of crossed, doubly terminated quartz crystals and a 6-7 mm brookite blade. The base and one end have been sawed to enhance the display quality. This is a SUPERB, large matrix anatase specimen, with large anatase crystals, from this very small find. We have seen matrix specimens from this find, of not much higher quality, priced at over $5,000 from other dealers
