Item Description
A wonderful example of these contemporary "Alpine-type" specimens from Baluchistan, Pakistan. These pieces are the best crystallized specimens of Anatase to hit the market since the last great pieces came out of Norway in the early 1990s. They are quite similar to their Norwegian counterparts in terms of quality, sharpness, luster and color. This cabinet sized display specimen hosts a razor-sharp, highly lustrous, semi-metallic, rich blue color, doubly-terminated crystal of Anatase measuring 7 mm which is associated with prismatic Quartz crystals on minor Albite on matrix. The Anatase itself is in great condition, but there is a bit of roughness to the surrounding Quartz and Albite. You might be familiar with Anatase as a species, but it's hard to find good cabinet display specimens from any world locality, and if you know the value of the good Norwegian pieces or the fine specimens from the European Alps, then these pieces from Pakistan are
