Item Description

Dating back to the early 2000s, the Kharan District of Pakistan started producing some really fine quality and attractive specimens of Anatase and Brookite. These piece are truly "Alpine-type", and in nearly every aspect identical to the classic specimens of the European Alps. Anatase of this quality really hasn't been seen from any world locality in 20+ years since the last pieces were collected in Norway. This wonderful small cabinet display specimen features several very sharp, incredibly lustrous, deep blue and golden-yellow colored tetragonal crystals of Anatase measuring up to 6 mm sitting nicely on a layer of white bladed Albite on matrix. Nearly all of the crystals are doubly-terminated to boot! Virtually no damage of note that I can see, and Anatase really doesn't get much more lustrous or sharper than this even from the classic locales in places like Norway or the Binntal of Switzerland.
