Item Description
An unusual association specimen featuring semi-epitaxial crystals of Anatase which according to the label are partially altering to Rutile which are sitting on a sharp, well-formed, lustrous, translucent "chlorite"-included twinned crystal of Adularia (a variety of K-Feldspar). I can't say that I've seen too many pieces of this particular association from Switzerland or any other Alpine country. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10570). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
