Anatase (gemmy)

Anatase is well known species for collectors, but good crystals over 1 cm are rarely seen from most localities. This is a wonderful example of crystallized Anatase, especially from Brazil. The piece is a sharp, and rather lustrous, prismatic tetragonal crystal with beautiful rich golden and blue internal color that really shows up well when strongly backlit. Good condition on the front and sides, but it is contacted on the back. Hard to photograph, but better in person, and worthwhile for any thumbnail collector or a collector of Brazilian minerals in general.
