Item Description

Around 2007, some top "Alpine"-type Anatase and Brookite specimens have been trickling out of one of the most dangerous areas in Pakistan. The Anatase crystals from this locality rival some of the best Norwegian crystals for the top luster, deep inky-blue color and incredible sharpness. In fact, I have somewhat of a preference towards the Pakistani Anatases because they're not heavily striated like most from Norway that I've seen. This piece features a few beautiful, razor sharp, highly lustrous, deep inky-blue color, doubly-terminated tetragonal prisms of Anatase measuring up to 1.0 cm with Quartz and polysynthetic twinned Albite on matrix. This is a great "Alpine"-type specimen and a good display specimen for any collector. From the collection of John Arnaud of Colorado.
