Anatase (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A classic Anatase specimen from the famous Binntal in Switzerland. A predominant pair of sharp, lustrous, golden-brown, modified tetragonal crystals of Anatase (sometimes called "Wiserine") on matrix. The crystals are small (up to 5 mm), but one of them is incredibly well-formed, sharp, lustrous and gemmy. I have photographed the crystals under the microscope to better show their quality. These specimens are prized by collectors, and this particular color of Anatase is not terribly common, especially in gemmy crystals. A cool Alpine classic from perhaps the most famous valley in Switzerland.
