Anatase (doubly-terminated) with Quartz

This piece dates back to 2004 when the Baluchistan region of Pakistan was producing some really fine quality Brookite and Anatase specimens. Along with being fine quality, these pieces feature "Alpine-type" crystals, which is why they are fairly identical to crystals of the same species from European Alps in terms of quality, color and size. Considering how little is found in the Alps each year, the additional specimens on the market from Pakistan was certainly appreciated by the collecting community. This small cabinet specimen features several superb, HIGHLY lustrous, sharp, tetragonal crystals of Anatase measuring up to 6 mm with white / colorless Quartz on matrix. Several of the Anatase crystals are completely undamaged and doubly-terminated. Very little damage, but it should be note that the piece is not completely pristine. We haven't seen many of these specimens on the market recently and we've been told that the deposits have dried up, so don't miss out on these pieces while there are still a few out there.
