A classic Norwegian Anatase specimen featuring a stout, semi-metallic sapphire blue color, sharp, lustrous crystal free of matrix matrix. When backlit, the crystals shows slight flashes of blue with a bit of gold mixed in here and there, but you need a strong light to see it.. The piece is in great shape, but the back has a separation mark where it was removed from the pocket wall. Good Anatase specimens from Norway are next to impossible to obtain these days, including the more recently mined specimens from 20 years ago, due to the fact that collecting is strictly forbidden in certain areas. The best of these specimens are certainly the finest Anatase specimens in the world, and they simply are stunning to view in person. Valued at $500.
