Going back to the early 2000s, various spots in Baluchistan started producing some impressive "Alpine-type" Brookite and Anatase specimens. In most cases, these pieces are nearly identical to their counterparts from European Alps in terms of quality, crystallization, color and size. They are certainly among the best representations of their respective species to come out of any locality in a few decades. This thumbnail specimen features a HIGHLY lustrous, deep blue and golden colored, tetragonal, pyramidal crystal of Anatase measuring 8 mm sitting on bladed white (and green "Chlorite"-included) Albite on a thin bit of matrix. No damage, very attractive and great aesthetic example of these now classic Anatase specimens.
