Item Description

A few years ago, there was a find of superb "Alpine-type" quality Brookite and Anatase specimens from the Kharan District of Pakistan. The anatase specimens found at this locality are some of the finest quality pieces to be found in the modern era of minerals. This particular specimen features a 1.1 cm, very sharp, highly lustrous, doubly-terminated, well formed tetragonal crystal of anatase with a deep metallic blue color and nifty iridescence, when viewed in strong lighting. The crystal sits very elegantly on the underlying matrix, creating a very attractive miniature display specimen. A gentle bit of edge wear is noted to the crystal. This is a fine quality anatase specimen from any locality, on par with the classic specimens from Norway with regard to quality and crystal size.
