Item Description

A few years ago, there was a find of superb "Alpine-type" quality Brookite and Anatase specimens from the Kharan District of Pakistan. The Anatase specimens found at this locality are some of the finest quality pieces to be found in the modern era of minerals. This particular specimen features a 1.9 cm, very sharp, highly lustrous, doubly-terminated, well formed tetragonal crystal of Anatase with a nice golden and blue color that can be seen just under the surface of the crystal when viewed in strong lighting. The crystal sits very aesthetically on the underlying matrix, creating a very attractive small cabinet display specimen. This is a fine quality Anatase specimen from any locality, on par with the classic specimens from Norway with regard to quality and crystal size. The piece is valued at $1250.
