Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, pretty light apple-green, pod-like aggregates of anapaite crystals and nubby spherical aggegates of of barite crystals richly and attractively cover the ironstone matrix on this showy miniature combination from the Ukraine. Such combinations are quite rare from this locale! This locality is now mined through and specimens are hard to obtain. Anapaite, a phosphate, is found in lacustrine (lake) sediments. This rare, relatively rich specimen of the material is uncommon on the market. Valued $400
