A striking and beautiful, 3.4 cm, textbook trapezohedral analcime crystal with porcelaneous luster and nifty oxide tinting is dramatically perched on laminar apophyllite. This very fine older specimen is from a classic locality Alpine locality renowned for analcime and apophyllite. This outstanding analcime has only very trivial bruisinng at the top. Contacting on the back with the basalt matrix is out of sight. Very seldom available in this combination quality and aesthetics. Ex Phil Scalisi and Robert Whitmore Collection.
