Item Description
A VERY RARE, rich and impressive large Zeolite Group combination specimen from an unknown Czech locale and the Paterson Museum Collection. MINDAT does not list a "Salesl" for either the Czech Republic or Slovakia. Sharp, lustrous, glassy ivory-colored analcime trapezohedrons are festooned on the undulating basalt matrix totally covered with tiny glassy harmotome prisms. The large compound analcime crystal cluster on the lower left is 1.5 wide. Czech locality possibilities are: the Vinarice quarry, Kladno; the Studenec quarry, Jilemnice; and the Votrubec quarry, Kozakov. Perhaps one of our Czech or European collectors or a Zeolite specialist can identify the correct locality. Irregardless, this RARE, rich and important large zeolite combination from the Czech Republic. A MUST for the species or locality collector!
