Item Description

A classic Alpine Analcime from the famous Alpe di Siusi featuring a predominant, sharp, well-formed, pinkish-white trapezohedral crystal measuring 2.5 cm. The faces show good luster with great crystal form. The main crystal is contacted on the back side, but overall it's in great shape. The Analcime is sitting on a band of calcite, set up nicely atop a grayish matrix. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4259). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
