A fine, textbook, 2.2 cm analcime trapezohedron is aesthetically set atop matrix on this outstanding thumbnail from the famous Phoenix Mine. The pristine, sharp, glassy translucent crystal is nicely accented with a light interior hematite tinting - interestingly only in one-half of the crystal. This historic old mine has produced many exceptional Copper Country specimens, including analcime, and this a classic and wonderful thumbnail example from the Ben Vone Collection.
