Item Description

A really attractive sliced and polished Ammonite - {species: Cleoniceras (Grycia) besairiei} - from the late early cretaceous period about 100 mya. The fossil has been cut in half and BOTH sides of each half have been polished to show the interior and exterior structure. The internal chambers are filled with translucnet golden calcite, and the exterior actually shows slight iridescent flashes of red, gold and green! Very attractive and worthwhile for any collector of the material.
