For all you fossil enthusiasts out there. Morocco is one of the great fossil-producing countries in the world today. The Ammonite fossils found near Arfoud (Erfoud) in Morocco are some of the best preserved remains of creatures that once flourished in a warm shallow sea which covered what is now the Sahara Desert. Here we have a great 2 piece example of said material with both halves featuring well-preserved chambers (called phragmocone) in that classic spiral growth. A beautiful set of these well-known fossils.
