Here we have a unique variety of Quartz from the finest occurrence in the world. Ametrine is a naturally occurring purple and yellow bi-color variety that is formed by a unique twin law ("Brazil Law Twinning") where two separate individually colored crystals are intergrown to form an alternating "radiation" pattern of purple and yellow triangles when viewed down the c axis. This two colors are oriented from these crystals to cut the famous bicolor gemstones. Here we have a natural, bi-color purple and slight yellow polished slice of Ametrine. The piece is fairly gemmy and shows true NATURAL (UNHEATED) yellow Citrine, (albeit a small amount) which is incredibly rare in nature. A very cool polished "slab" of this material that is only found in one place in the world in this quality and capacity! The piece weighs 169 grams. Priced at $600.
