Item Description
An impressive large crystal of NATURAL ametrine (amethyst and citrine hues combined in a single crystal), from Bolivia. The weird forms of these crystals result from natural etching in the pockets in which they form. They are absolutely clear through the interiors, with a silky surface. This sculptural piece has a sawed base to stand, and displays well from either side. The TOP of the crystal is well terminated and has an unusual flat face, called a "C-face," atop. This is in contrast to the usual pointiness of any quartz or ametrine crystal. They are rare styled terminations not commonly seen. A few small bruises on the termination edges are noted, but are certainly a modest detraction. Fine crystals are now harder to come by, these days.
