A striking, skewed, 7.4 cm, doubly terminated amethyst/smoky quartz scepter is dramatically set on the sculptural feldspar matrix nicely accented with smaller smoky quartz crystals. The variable hues of pretty purple amethyst, smoky and cloudy milky quartz within the very sharp glassy, transparent to translucent scepter with satin lustre faces add real character and color to this impresssive large 360-degree specimen. The scepter is complete all-around and in excellent shape, overall. The small noted bruise on the scepter termination is certainly only a modest detraction. The scepter stalk is visible on one side of the piece. This sculptural and rare piece is from a much lesser known mine in the well-known Crystal Peak area of Teller County.
