Amethystine Quartz on Feldspar ex Obodda

Amethystine quartz matrix specimens of this quality are rare from this more obscure area of the famous Rhodope Mountains. The strikingly angled, 10.4 cm, translucent, frosted, light purple crystal aesthetically rests on another quartz crystal on the platy feldspar matrix. The sharp termination is lightly etched and the multiple sidecar crystals add much character. The large crystal is complete all-around and pristine and the one broken sidecar crystal is barely noticeable and has very minimal impact on the overall fine display quality of this rare specimen, which has multiple display possibilities.
