Amethyst with Hematite on Quartz

Distinctive, and very attractive, AMETHYST with Hematite on Quartz from the well-known Orange River area of Namibia. The Amethysts have average luster, deep purple color, nice sharp form, and a preferential Hematite coating. The largest Amethyst is 4 cm x 3 cm x 2 cm, and all the crystals, both Amethyst and Quartz, rest on a dense matrix of intergrown Quartz. A fine small cabinet specimen with nice aesthetics and good quality Amethyst from this location.
