Item Description

Classic, rich and colorful large amethyst with hematite inclusions from famous Thunder Bay. Richly included brick-red crystals, to about 1.0 cm, fill the impressive, sculptural curved vug in amethyst and granular quartz matrix. The crystals are glassy, highly lustrous and translucent and the hematite "freckles" are really a super accent. The interior is pristine on this showy, rich and classic piece from the David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
