Thunder Bay amethysts are a Canadian classic and this is a really good large plate from the Richard Hauck Quartz Collection. The variable purple color saturation and intensity are excellent on this aesthetic plate. The crystals are highly lustrous and translucent and the hematite "freckles" are really a cute accent. Overall, the piece is in excellent shape. The large crystal termination is lightly dinged and you barely notice, that a couple of other terminations are gently bruised. The banded base is mostly golden citrine! It displays beautifully without aid. Older material.
