Amethyst with Epidote

These specimens certainly have been few and far between. I personally have not seen many of them over the last few years. This specimen features deep forest green color radial "sprays" of Epidote sitting on sharp, well-formed, highly lustrous, pale lavender Amethyst crystals, most of which are undamaged. The Amethyst crystals have tiny inclusions of reddish specular Hematite. It is not terribly common to find Epidote on Quartz like this, and this one is attractive to be sure. This locality seems to be producing less material than a few years ago, and this piece would certainly make an esoteric addition to any Chinese suite. From an old East Coast collection.
