Amethyst with Calcite* (*Calcite is rare from Bolivia)

Item Description

This specimen is a great small miniature size piece consisting of good quality, sharp, gemmy, lustrous, prismatic, purple color Amethysts measuring up to 1.6 cm associated with modified scalenohedra of Calcite and on matrix. Please note that Calcite is a rather rare species from Bolivia, and the Calcite crystals from Bombori are the best examples of Bolivian Calcite crystals that we've seen. The Amethyst crystals on the piece are remarkable for Bolivia as it features a type of crystallization that is virtually unheard of from this country. A good specimen of this now hard to find material.
