Amethyst with Calcite* (*Calcite is rare from Bolivia)

Item Description

This specimen is a great small cabinet size piece consisting of good quality, sharp, gemmy, lustrous, prismatic, crystals of Amethyst sitting atop white/colorless, modified rhombohedra of Calcite with minor underlain "Chlorite". This piece is remarkable for Bolivia as it features good quality crystals of Calcite, which is virtually unheard of from this country. This is one of the better pieces from the find for quality, aesthetics and overall appeal. The largest crystal measures 2.0 cm.
