Las Vigas amethyst specimens of this striking style, quality and crystal form are very uncommon and this is an exceptional matrix example from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Three large and unusual crystals dominate the skyline on this very sculptural 2-sided piece. Most of the glassy, transparent to translucent crystals have pretty blush purple color, except that several crystals have colorless terminations, including the large doubly terminated sceptered crystal on the right side. Nearly all the crystals have fantastic, somewhat hard to see, pronounced skeletal features on both the termination and prism faces. There appear to be two more partially sceptered crystals on the piece. The matrix is a nubby drusy quartz. Complete all-around and pristine, this is an outstanding and uncommon amethyst style.
