Item Description
Very showy and rich mounded small cabinet amethyst from the famous Thunder Bay District. A prominent 2.3 cm crystal on the skyline dominates this fine piece. The very glassy, lustrous, transparent to translucent crystals have fine grape-purple color. Backlighting reveals hematite inclusion blebs, a typical and excellent complement. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection # 6039 and acquired in 1996. Classic and aesthetic Thunder Bay amethyst with exceptional color for this locale!
