Amethyst specimens directly attributable to the famous and historic Rayas Mine are very uncommon. This is an interesting and sculptural large combination from the Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection. The large vug in granular quartz matrix is lined with light blush-purple gemmy amethyst crystals with scattered colorless quartz points. An aesthetically set 3.0 cm cluster of frosted, tan calcite scalenohedrons plus scattered calcites are fine accessories. Showy, excellent and uncommon large older combination material from the 1960s to 80s.
