Amethyst w/ Calcite (RARE combo)

Item Description

An impresssive 6.5 cm, doubly terminated amethyst crystal dominates this sculptural crystal cluster aesthetically set on the matrix plate from recent finds at famed Las Vigas. The imposing secondary crystal is 3.5 cm long. All of the very glassy, lustrous crystals have classic beautiful blush-purple color, water-clear gem terminations above translucent bodies and fabulous stepped-growth faces. The amethysts are essentially pristine. The large crystal has a contact on the side of a termination face, where another crystal once lay, but there is no damage, per se. Calcite is VERY RARE from the famous finds at Piedra Parada (Las Vigas) and part of the front and much of the back is covered with drusy calcite. An additional BONUS on the both sides are the crusts of green EPIDOTE. An artistic and rare combination from Las Vigas. This fine combination has multiple display views.
