Amethyst (uncommon locale)

Dal'negorsk AMETHYST! This is from a very small, surprising find in 2006. The specimens are not world-class for the species, but the importance here is the locality; and, actually, they ARE rather pretty - with good transparency in the termination area, glassy luster and a very delicate lavender color. A bit of out of sight termination edgewear is noted on the backside of the crystal, as is some periphery wear lower on the sides of the crystal. This is a nice single crystal, and is highly representative of this small find from this world-class locality. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
