Item Description
This is a dramatic stalactite of amethyst with intense, saturated, grape juice purple color! We have a larger one in the auction as well, and this formed a suite side by side with it. This has perfect symmetry and a straight vertical growth. It has the best color, and is almost pristine (just a few small dings). From the important large mineral collection of Gene Meieran, accumulated over 60 years with an emphasis on quartz, gem crystals, and colorful treasures. While common in low quality, stalactites like this are seldom seen for sale at the top level of color. Valued $2500-4500.
