Amethyst stalactite

Item Description

A showy and excellent, large amethyst stalactite from the classic locale of Uruguay. It is complete all around and the glassy crystals have pretty, light violet to intense, deep, grape-juice color. This piece has good form with with the two nodules on the sides. Two contacts near the termination and the large contact at the base at the back can be strongly minimized by the display orientation. This is a fine example of a rather common material still on the market today, though not often in such quality.
