Amethyst / Smoky with Opal-esque terminations

Here we have a wonderful, doubly-terminated skeletal / "window" ("Fenster") Quartz specimen with a rich purple Amethyst color on one end, and a medium Smoky Quartz and lilac Amethyst mix on the other end. Additionally, the color is enhanced when a strong light is focused on either end and a unique Opal-esque blue coloration appears! The entire specimen has superb luster, sharpness and is virtually WATER-CLEAR througout. The dozens of stepped faces throughout the specime give it a great deal of character. Very worthwhile for the Quartz collector, and certainly different from the majority of Amethyst / Smoky Quartz specimens that I've seen from this locality.
