Item Description

A beautiful specimen of these incredibly hard to find scepters from Myanmar. These pieces come from a pegmatite called Mine Lon and features a gorgeous, gemmy, purple Amethyst "cap", that has formed a scepter growth atop a dark (almost Morion colored) Smoky Quartz "stem". All over the crystal you can see some raised "alligator" faces, with excellent luster and form. A fine, eye-catching and impressive Quartz specimen from an unusual locality from which it seems very little was saved. Very little damage. You almost never seen Amethyst / Smoky Quartz scepters like this from anywhere in Myanmar. Priced at $750 in the inventory. From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
