Amethyst / Smoky Quartz "phantom"

Item Description

A GORGEOUS, purple / smoky and colorless GEM/gemmy, sharp, well-formed, undamaged hexagonal prism of Amethyst with excellent crystal form and beautiful internal "phantoms". There is actually a small amount of iron oxide included in the piece, which glows a rich red color when backlit (see micro photo). The termination is undamaged, but the base / back of the crystal is contacted. Not nearly as common on the market as they were a few years ago. Great quality and worthwhile to pick up.
