Item Description
A really unusual Amethyst specimen from Pakistan featuring several very sharp, lustrous, gemmy/translucent, light purple color prismatic crystals with notable "skeletal" faces, (referred to as "Fenster" in German). Upon close inspection (see microphotos), there are dozen of tiny inclusions of black, grey and red crystals of unidentified iron oxide, i.e., Hematite or possibly Goethite or maybe even Lepidocrocite. Great quality all the way around, and certainly unusual for Pakistan. The piece comes with a label from Pakistan mineral dealer, Dudley Blauwet, otherwise I would have a very hard time placing its origin. If you're a Quartz collector, I have to think that you don't have one of these pieces in your collection.
